QLogic Provides Storage Networking Solutions for New HP BladeSystem C3000 Blade Enclosure; Fibre Channel HBAs Enable Affordable, Reliable Storage Networks for Midsize Businesses, Remote Sites and Branch Offices

(Nasdaq:QLGC), a leader in networking for storage and high performance computing, today announced the availability of its storage networking solutions for the new HP BladeSystem c3000 blade enclosure. QLogic QMH2462 Fibre Channel mezzanine cards, specifically engineered for the HP BladeSystem servers, allow users to take advantage of the high performance, high scalability and reliability of QLogic Fibre Channel technology for their storage needs.

QLogic HBAs for BladeSystem c-Class Servers Deliver Performance, Data Reliability, Scalability

The QLogic QMH2462 is a dual-port, 4Gb Fibre Channel mezzanine card that offers HP BladeSystem c-Class customers high performance for their storage applications with an I/O transfer rate of up to 150,000 IOPs per port. It also provides enhanced data reliability by using overlapping protection domains for continuous protection of internal data paths. In addition, the mezzanine card is virtualization-ready, providing a high level of scalability by allowing physical ports to be part of multiple logical networks. The QLogic QMH2462 is already available for use with the currently available HP BladeSystem c7000 blade enclosure.
