FairWinds Partners to Speak at the IQPC Anti-Counterfeiting and Brand Protection Conference in New York

WASHINGTON, Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- FairWinds Partners, LLC announced today that Managing Partners Joshua Bourne and Philip Lodico will be presenting at the International Quality and Productivity Center (IQPC) Anti-Counterfeiting and Brand Protection Conference in New York. The conference, which takes place September 18 and 19, will address the escalating dangers of global counterfeiting.
Lodico will serve on a panel entitled "The Internet: Examining This Magnet For Trademark Enforcement Issues." According to the IQPC agenda, panelists will examine issues and share practical solutions for efficiently making trademark enforcement achievable. The panel will also discuss how companies can prioritize issues to protect their brands and their customers in the constantly changing Internet space. Other members of the panel include legal representatives from Richemont and Avery Denison.
Bourne, acting as the IQPC's official Program Advisor for this event, will also participate in a panel called "Preventing Online Brand Abuse." The panel will illustrate ways to reduce online misuses of brands via leading proactive and reactive strategies in addition to reducing brand abuse at the source through public policy initiatives. A member of MarkMonitor will moderate the discussion, and representatives from Time Warner, Dell, and Harman International will join Bourne on the panel.
