Palo Alto Networks to Present At SANS Network Security 2007

Palo Alto Networks will participate in SANS Network Security 2007, September 22-30 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV. Co-founder and CTO, Nir Zuk will share his insights on how enterprises can embrace next-generation applications without sacrificing comprehensive network visibility and control.
A security industry visionary, Mr. Zuk is one of the creators of the stateful inspection technology upon which today's multibillion dollar firewall industry is based. He previously served as CTO at NetScreen Technologies and as principal engineer at Check Point Software Technologies.
Mr. Zuk will present a Lunch and Learn session titled, "Applications Are Evolving -- Why Hasn't the Firewall?" on Wednesday, September 26, 12:30 - 1:15 p.m. The presentation will provide an in-depth look at the rapid loss of control over the new generation of applications -- social networking, IM, streaming media and Internet TV -- that have become a necessity in business, but are designed to evade firewall detection. Mr. Zuk will explore how these security vulnerabilities have propelled the reinvention of today's firewall.
