i2Telecom Announces Breakthrough VoiceStick Technology; Revolutionary Patent-Pending VoIP Access Device Provides Long-Distance Callers With Unparalleled Mobility
i2Telecom International, Inc. (OTCBB:ITUI), an emerging leader in voice/data communications technology for the Internet, including Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services, today announced the launch of its new patent-pending VoiceStick(TM) technology.
The VoiceStick(TM) is a plug-and-play, portable key chain-sized device that inserts directly into the USB port of almost any desktop or notebook computer including some PDAs. The VoiceStick(TM) instantly allows the user to make domestic and international long distance calls via the Internet, with the use of an included headset. Once the VoiceStick(TM) is installed in the USB port, a dial pad display enables the user to call any telephone in the world directly from the computer, using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology, at a fraction of normal long-distance rates.
"The VoiceStick(TM) is the easiest and most cost-effective VoIP solution for college students, business travelers, or anyone who makes long-distance calls from multiple locations. Given the explosive growth of WiFi and broadband wireless, including 'Hot Spots,' the VoiceStick(TM) will allow users to conveniently make VoIP calls from such locations as cafes, hotels, airport terminals, college campuses, municipal parks, recreational vehicles and their own back yards."
"We expect the VoiceStick(TM) to be available through multiple sales channels by early 2005, and i2 Telecom is currently in negotiation for definitive agreements involving thousands of retail locations. Additionally, we plan to offer VoiceSticks through a number of our channel partners, including telecom companies, cable companies and Internet service providers," concluded Arena.
The company is also offering the VoiceStick(TM) through its Virtual VoIP Network Enabler (VVNE) and Virtual VoIP Network Operator (VVNO) programs. The VVNE program enables agents and reseller partners to sell the VoiceStick(TM), along with VoIP services, through i2Telecom's infrastructure, allowing for easy market entry with minimal time and capital expenses. The VVNO program allows qualified operators and wholesalers to sell and activate customized VoiceStick(TM) product offerings and rate plans that are complemented by their own back office functionality.
