ObjectVideo to Showcase the Latest Intelligent Solutions at ASIS

September 21, 2007
Repost This

ObjectVideo, the leader in intelligent video, today previewed its participation and activities at ASIS International, Sept. 24 – 27 in Las Vegas. ObjectVideo will feature several new product and technology demonstrations in its booths, 2069 and 2169, throughout the event.

ObjectVideo Event Counting Suite

ObjectVideo will demonstrate its new counting application, the Event Counting Suite, which significantly outperforms the simple people counters on the market today. Transforming video into a continuous stream of business intelligence data, the Event Counting Suite offers a broad set of functionality and flexible camera placements in order to meet key people and vehicle counting applications, including highly accurate occupancy and dwell time detection. (See related press release, “ObjectVideo Unveils Superior Video Analytics Technology for Event Counting,” Sept. 24, 2007).

Automated Area Definition

ObjectVideo will hold live demonstrations of a forthcoming technology — automated area definition. This capability, developed by ObjectVideo’s premier computer vision scientists, enables a user to specify an area to be monitored by simply walking the area perimeter. No graphic user interface is required for installation and commissioning. This capability is especially applicable to counting and other applications that receive video information but do not output video, thereby creating the need for the sensor to automatically understand the intended area of interest.

OV Ready

ObjectVideo will present OV Ready, with a live presentation demonstrating the power of ObjectVideo’s XML standard for rule and alert communications. Two video management solution providers, Genetec and Lenel, will showcase their OV Ready integrations with Lumenera, an ObjectVideo OnBoard™ manufacturing partner. These integrations will allow customers to use a single, simple interface for managing video and analytics, regardless of which ObjectVideo OnBoard™-enabled device is deployed in the video network.

Intelligent Solution Showcase

Additionally during ASIS, ObjectVideo will host the Intelligent Solution Showcase in booth 2169. The Showcase will feature live demonstrations of the latest intelligent video products and solutions from more than 16 leading companies, including Avant Technologies, Certera, Cisco, CoVi, dPict Imaging, eInfochips, Harris, HIKvision, Integral Technologies, Lumenera, Mango DSP, PhoenixIVS, Texas Instruments, Tyco Fire & Security, VDG Security and Verint. Participants include manufacturers and technology providers who are part of the ObjectVideo® OnBoard™ program, which enables original equipment manufacturers to easily pre-integrate intelligent video analytics software into their own devices.

“It is an exciting time for intelligent video. As the sophistication of the technology grows, video content analysis is being integrated into security and business operations in new and innovative ways,” said Brian Eckert, vice president of sales and marketing, ObjectVideo. “Together with our partners, we’ll be demonstrating not only the newest in intelligent video technology, but also how it is being applied today in real-world security environments.”

ObjectVideo will be located in booths 2069 and 2169 at ASIS International, Sept. 24 — 27 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
