CARROLLTON, Ga., Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Medical software and services provider Greenway Medical Technologies has signed an $8.8 million contract extension with AT&T for a wide area networking solution. Greenway Medical Technologies is a software and services provider focused on delivering physician-centric applications that integrate medical practices' clinical, financial and administrative processes.
Greenway delivers its software program to approximately 130 medical facilities across the country using AT&T's Frame Relay service, which offers secure, high-speed data transmission. The contract renewal provides for the addition of 100 sites to the network each year to accommodate Greenway's growing customer base.
"We are excited to continue our relationship with AT&T," said W.T. Green, III, president and chief operating officer of Greenway Medical Technologies. "AT&T's service provides reliable, fast and secure communication with our clients, which is critical to ensure performance, customer satisfaction and, most importantly, the confidentiality of valuable medical information and compliance with Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations."
By integrating business and clinical functions, Greenway enables physicians and practice managers to better serve their patients, more efficiently manage their practices, and increase practice profitability. Greenway uses AT&T's BusinessDirect(R) portal to gain online access to tools that provide real-time reports on network performance and direct access to AT&T's ordering, status, inventory and trouble management systems.
