AZTEQ Mobile Game Service Solution Delivers Compelling Game Experience on Mobile Devices

Posted on: Friday, 28 September 2007, 00:00 CDT

AZTEQ Mobile today announced the commercial availability of its end-to-end gaming solution designed to enable game developers, handset manufacturers and carriers to deliver rich, compelling, PC- and console-quality gaming experience to mobile consumers.

AZTEQ, headquartered in the Silicon Valley, with offices in Tokyo has developed a game platform for mobile devices, enabling the true video game developer community into the mobile world by allowing utilization of the same game development assets from the PC, console and handheld gaming spaces. The platform also provides an intuitive way to discover and download exciting native mobile games.

For game developers, AZTEQ's breakthrough SDK, called toolzQitTM, provides the mobile platform the familiarity and ease-of-use associated with video gaming tools. In addition, it gives the developer the ability to mirror the exact game playability the consumer will experience on the final device, enhancing the quality of the game. The toolzQit, a joint collaboration with Japan-based Acrodea, will incorporate Acrodea's industry-leading game engine, X-Forge 2007, its 3D dynamic 2007 VIVID User Interface.

For mobile device OEMs, AZTEQ has developed a fully integrated game execution client, gameztaQTM, that integrates components such as a 3D game engine, 3D sound engine, a security agent and OpenGL® ES 2.0-based embedded graphics library. It also integrates handshaking software that synchronizes with mobile communication functions to handle game and communications mode as well as enable features unique to mobile phones.

For wireless carriers, AZTEQ has developed seQrgamezTM, a secure and flexible content delivery system allowing the distribution of content through the network, storage card, over-the-air and peer-peer mechanisms. seQrgamez integrates with the wireless carrier's billing system with the added ability to provide micropayment options for games.

"We are excited to provide developers, handset OEMs and carriers their first opportunity to deliver the rich high-quality game experience the wireless consumer expects of games," commented Mica Imamura, founder and CEO of AZTEQ Mobile. "We are also delighted to have the opportunity to collaborate with companies, such as Acrodea, who are true innovators and leaders in gaming technology."

"On the occasion of this announcement, I feel honored that our company was able to participate in the extensive game platform business of AZTEQ Mobile through joint development and technology contribution. I look forward to the roll-out of an innovative game platform through the products and services that AZTEQ Mobile will be bringing to the mobile communications market," said Junya Tsutsumi, CEO and president of Acrodea.
