IIJ to Develop New SEIL/X Series

Internet Initiative Japan, Inc., (IIJ, NASDAQ: IIJI, TSE1: 3774), one of Japan’s leading Internet access and comprehensive network solutions providers, today announced the development of SEIL/X Series, a new SEIL series of next-generation, high-performance routers. The SEIL/X1 and SEIL/X2 models will be available for sale starting in January 2008. The SEIL/X Series models will be on pre-release exhibit from October 2 to October 6 at CEATEC JAPAN 2007 at the Makuhari Messe International Convention Complex in Chiba City, Japan.

SEIL/X1 was developed as a high-end enterprise access router for the gigabyte age, and the SEIL/X2 is the top of the line for this series with greater capacity and functionality. The SEIL/X series is the worthy high-performance successors to the SEIL Series, with added functions and improved capabilities. They can be used in a wide array of applications: IPv4/IPv6 routers, VPN equipment, firewalls, and BAS (Broadband Access Server). In anticipation of overseas sales expansion, the SEIL/X Series complies with European RoHS directive regulations and was designed to be environmentally friendly. Panasonic Mobile Communications Co., Ltd., is providing parts and equipment on an OEM basis.

IIJ will continue to actively develop the SEIL/X Series in tandem with various network services.
