LOS ALTOS, Calif., Oct. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Radiance Technologies, the leading provider of digital asset delivery systems, today announced a partnership with LightBox Network, a provider of advanced, Web-enabled image and media collaboration/workflow systems. Under Radiance's Application Programming Interface (API) strategy, Radiance and LightBox will integrate Radiance TrueDelivery(R) software with LightBox Network's software, enabling easy collaboration between corporations, photographers, videographers and their customers -- including media companies, ad agencies, retailers, editors and re-touchers. Radiance, in tandem with LightBox Network's LIVE system, virtually automates the process flow from the moment a photo or video image is shot, all the way through post-production and publishing.
Within the system, photographers can quickly upload images and other media to a website or image bank for remote editing online. LightBox Network manages all asset workflow functions from still or video shoots, all the way from concept through editing. Radiance Technologies enables the secure, scheduled delivery of those digital assets to all the creative professionals in the collaborative environment. The combined system enables media professionals, customers and all project stakeholders to easily send, receive, and collaborate over massive media libraries using a simple browser interface. Radiance TrueDelivery optimizes bandwidth, enabling users to simply send gigabyte size files over the Internet.
"Pairing our digital asset delivery software with LightBox's innovative infrastructure for loading, editing and sharing photos and video files quickly and in real time allows customers to reduce time to market for their final products," said Radiance Technologies CEO Tom Engdahl. "This joint solution is secure, robust and able to manage large photographic and video files shared within a creative ecosystem without the need for burning and sending CD-ROMS. Users simply transmit their digital images or show over the Internet."
"Integrating the LightBox Network with Radiance provides complete Internet-based workflow tools packaged with the ability to move data quickly, securely and efficiently. This is the first time that comprehensive efficient Internet workflow has been integrated with fast delivery of large media files," said David Alexander, President of LightBox Network. "Radiance and LightBox Network answer a screaming industry need for effective Internet workflow management."
The Radiance-LightBox Network solution fosters enhanced productivity by integrating new tools and powerful large-asset delivery capability into existing corporate and individual creative workflows. The solution makes digital images and video easier to load, edit and distribute effortlessly via secure file transfer over a typical laptop or PC and transfer can occur in real time while the images are being shot. The combined solution is available as a managed service, fully supported by Radiance and LightBox Network, or as licensed software.
