Sylantro Systems Joins HP Services Marketplace Community to Enhance Collaboration in the Communication and Entertainment Markets
Posted on: Tuesday, 2 October 2007, 09:00 CDT
Sylantro Systems today announced that its Synergy multiplay application feature server will be included in the HP Services Marketplace, a community of application and content providers serving the communications, media and entertainment industries. The Sylantro Synergy platform will now be offered as one of the pre-integrated solutions that can help service providers streamline the evaluation, testing and deployment of new services.
With Sylantro's Synergy platform certified on HP BladeSystem c-Class server blades running the Linux operating system, the two companies will collaborate within the HP Services Marketplace to help wireline and wireless carriers, multi-service operators (MSOs) and entertainment companies reduce cost, lower risk and shorten time-to-market as they design, deploy, and manage sophisticated new services.
Sylantro's carrier-grade Synergy software platform, supporting IMS and next generation networks, is already widely deployed among the world's top ILECs, PTTs, IXCs and CLECs. It offers carriers, MSOs, media companies and their customers unprecedented control, flexibility and ease of use in creating and offering differentiated, revenue-generating services such as wireless, fixed-mobile convergence, business communications and video communications. Technology Marketing Corporation's IMS Magazine this year named Sylantro's Synergy 4.1 as a recipient of the first-ever IMS Leadership Award.
HP Services Marketplace provides a broad range of pre-built, pre-tested service applications from leading independent software vendors, developers and content providers. HP supports these solutions with 30 years of expertise in telecom and entertainment, its network, OSS and BSS technologies, and its consulting and integration services delivered anywhere in the world.
Through HP Services Marketplace, network operators have the convenience of working with a single solution provider who can deliver the required expertise and tools throughout all phases of the service deployment lifecycle. For example, HP will be able to serve as systems integrator for customers who deploy the Sylantro solution within the HP Services Marketplace.
"Sylantro's Synergy platform and Synapps Web Services provide a carrier-grade, feature-rich, web services-enabled common capability for creating new converged experiences for businesses and consumers," said Marco Limena, president and chief executive officer of Sylantro Systems. "Our Synergy multiplay application feature server has firmly established its ability to help network operators design and sell the services available on the HP Services Marketplace. "
