Cutting-Edge Telecommunications Patents to Be Sold at Live IP Auction on October 25th in Chicago

Ocean Tomo Auctions, LLC today announced it will sell several cutting-edge Telecommunications Lots at The Ocean Tomo Fall 2007 Live Intellectual Property Auction on Oct. 25th at The Palmer House Hilton in Chicago.
Technologies disclosed in patents available in the Telecommunications Lots include methods to deliver targeted advertising to wireless handsets; systems to provide wireless synchronization via a server to PDAs with host systems; and methods allowing recipients to receive changing information, such as financial market information, over a mobile communications network on an immediate basis as updates occur.
Another available Lot addresses technology allowing mobile phone users to enact a courtesy answering mode. Often, mobile phone calls which cannot be ignored are received in areas where phone use is prohibited or discouraged. With the courtesy answering mode, users may play a pre-recorded message indicating they will take the call shortly while they relocate to a more appropriate setting.
