Pluto's CHARON Billing System provides critical infrastructure to manage Briiz Telecom's innovative VoIP services
Pluto Communications International, AS, a leading supplier of billing software solutions for the communications industry, and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cyco.Net, Inc. (OTCBB:CYKE), announced today that Briiz Telecom, a Norwegian VoIP provider, has deployed Pluto's CHARON Billing System solution to rate all IP traffic originating from its advanced network.
Briiz Telecom selected CHARON to manage the provisioning, rating, invoicing and customer care of its high volume, complex VoIP services. The installation of Pluto's platform was completed in two months, delivering on CHARON's promise of rapid implementation. Integrated with the Lindorff solution for invoice administration (www.lindorff.com), CHARON provides a flexible, sophisticated platform to manage high-volume network services.
Briiz Telecom distributes their VoIP hardware and adapters through Expert (OSLO:EXPERT.OL), one of Scandinavia's largest home electronic department chains, with over 750 stores. The retail chain uses a web interface that directly updates CHARON with new customers, allowing immediate activation of VoIP services. Via CHARON, operators can create new, targeted services virtually on the fly, enabling Briiz Telecom to support innovative real-time content handling and billing for both pre-paid and subscription customers.
"CHARON has been in use by Briiz Telecom for some time now and has provided us with critical, scalable infrastructure to introduce new services and manage our growth effectively," said Arne Aarnes, CEO of Briiz Telecom. "The combination of CHARON's superior architecture with its flexible rate plan definition has enabled Briiz Telecom to maximize service revenue while minimizing cost. By deploying CHARON, we have been able to define and rate any number of new services, service options, and service models."
"We are pleased to support Briiz Telecom's network operations and business processes with our CHARON platform," said Svein Erik Fauskanger, CEO Europe for Pluto Communications. "Pluto's innovative architecture makes our solution operationally efficient, demanding fewer resources in hardware, software, and operational support than other available solutions on the market today. This functional depth allows operators to minimize development costs, and delivers low total cost of ownership."
The CHARON production system solution's adherence to open standards and its host of open APIs make it highly configurable and flexible, shortening deployment time for both initial installation and addition of new service definitions. CHARON further allows operators to set definitive project schedules. CHARON's intuitive interface empowers service providers to define, create, and bill for innovative services based on as simple or as sophisticated a rate plan as desired.
