Sanmina-SCI Defense and Aerospace Systems Division’s FireComm(TM) Selected By Alenia Aeronautica
SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Sanmina-SCI Corporation , a leading global electronics manufacturing services (EMS) company, today announced its Defense and Aerospace Systems Division’s third-generation FireComm(TM) intercommunications system has been selected by Alenia Aeronautica, a Finmeccanica Company, for integration into the C-27J Joint Cargo Aircraft.
The FireComm system will provide the C-27J crew members with advanced capabilities in terms of digital audio and data processing, enhanced voice warning, secure wireless capabilities, and an open architecture to support both network-centric operations and the integration of evolving technologies at the lowest possible cost.
