Blackfoot Telecommunications Group launches www.MyMontana.com -- Montana's one-stop destination site for all Montana's news, entertainment and commentary -- with a $10,000 contest to Montana residents who register at the site between October 15 and December 19, 2007.
The new MyMontana.com is the state's first Web site where Montanans can stay connected to local and national news and information on a single site -- wherever they live.
Earlier this year, Blackfoot purchased both the Montana.com and MyMontana.com domains, keeping them owned and controlled by local Montanans. Blackfoot's goal in developing MyMontana.com is to bring a wealth of information about Montana and beyond to your fingertips -- including news, road conditions, government resources, city information, as well as to provide state-of-the-art multi-media video and games, dynamic and interactive discussion groups, and free classified advertisement services for registered users.
"We know that people rely more each day on Internet-based communications like e-mail, web sites and discussion forums. Blackfoot has facilitated these new communication styles by building a next-generation network and offering robust high-speed Internet services," said Joan Mandeville, CEO, Blackfoot Telecommunications Group.
Mandeville said, "This site is one more way of doing what we do best -- helping Montanans connect with each other. No longer do Montana Internet users need to surf to various sites to get what they need."
MyMontana.com interactive features:
-- Montana News and Information -- Personal Blogs and Discussion Forums -- Free Event Calendar -- Post Events in your Community -- Free Classified Ad Postings -- Downloadable Games and Video -- Free Personalized Photo Albums and Sharing
Site Customization and Web 2.0 Technologies provide convenience.
