Hispanic Professionals Networking Group Announces New Leadership Development and Career Management Program
Posted on: Wednesday, 17 October 2007, 15:00 CDT
The Hispanic Professionals Networking Group (HPNG) today announced to its members that it will be offering a new leadership development program from Turnaround Investment Partners, in addition to several new career development courses from Empowering Today's Professionals (ETP) network.
As part of an ongoing commitment to providing value to its members, HPNG is expanding its monthly networking events to include membership packages for professionals who are preparing themselves for leadership positions. As a membership organization serving middle-management Latinos, providing development tools was the next logical step.
Ted Santos, CEO of TIP, explains that the program "goes beyond thinking outside the box, it allows people to create and think through a problem that may not be obvious, and establish a framework to find a solution."
"Latino leadership is often deficient in the middle-management ranks," says Ali Curi, president of HPNG. "Latinos at the mid-management level are usually left to develop and cultivate leadership qualities on their own, relying on their peer network that helps them keep their goals focused on success, but doesn't contribute to their leadership skills. We're changing this pattern by offering field-proven programs to help these Hispanic professionals reach a new level of success and leadership."
Rounding out the new HPNG membership structure is Rod Colon, founder and president of the ETP network. Rod's experience as a career coach in the corporate arena will prove invaluable for HPNG members. Quarterly workshops will help members develop networking skills and show professionals how to effectively tap into new and established relationships to develop one's career.
In a time where corporate goals are geared towards capitalizing on the booming Hispanic purchasing power, HPNG offers Hispanic professionals a way to empower themselves.
The first career development workshop with Rod Colon will be held on January 22, 2008. The Breakthrough Leadership Model program by Ted Santos will be held on January 29, 2008, both in New York.
Launched in 2003, HPNG hosts networking events in New York and Miami, and offers a diverse range of professional development workshops and seminars.
