Strategic Alliance Extends IBM's Digital Media Offerings in Banking, Financial, and Insurance Markets
StarBak Communications, the leading provider of integrated network video solutions that allows organizations to simply and easily create, manage, deliver and display video-based applications over IP networks, today announced a strategic partnership with IBM Global Services, the world's largest information technology services and consulting provider. With this alliance, IBM Global Services will offer StarBak's Integrated Network Video (INV) products worldwide as part of IBM's Digital Media product suite. This partnership follows StarBak's recent announcement of a similar alliance with SPL Integrated Solutions, the leading nationwide integrator of audio and video systems. Both deals complement StarBak's initiative to deliver end-to-end network video solutions to the fast-growing enterprise video market.
As banks, financial institutions, and insurance agencies increasingly move to digital media as a way to meet today's growing communication requirements and challenges, the combination of IBM's Digital Media solution and StarBak's Integrated Network Video (INV) platform enables enterprises, agencies and institutions to create, manage, deliver, and display digital media, including live video, utilizing their existing IP-network infrastructure. Furthermore, the addition of StarBak's INV platform leverages other IBM software brands, including IBM's Content Manager(TM), DB2(R), and the WebSphere Commerce Suite(TM), and further extends IBM's ability to offer a comprehensive solution to meet the stringent requirements of the banking, financial, and insurance industries.
"The world's largest banking, financial, and insurance institutions rely on IBM Global Services for their Digital Media systems and services," said Gregory Casale, president and CEO of StarBak. "This alliance creates synergies that will both deepen our vertical expertise and significantly expand our footprint across these services industries. We are excited to work with IBM and its customers to provide a complete integrated network video solution."
