SANTA CLARA, Calif., Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Asempra Technologies, a leading provider of continuous availability solutions for Windows applications and data, announced the Business Continuity Server (BCS) has been certified by IBM as System Storage Proven. IBM's System Storage Proven program is designed for customers to identify storage solutions that have been pre-qualified for interoperability with IBM System Storage products. This program simplifies the total storage purchase by insuring that IBM and 3rd party solutions, such as the BCS, are certified compatible for their business needs. The BCS has been confirmed by IBM to have successfully completed interoperability testing with IBM System Storage and tape products at IBM's testing facility in San Mateo, California.

Asempra's patented application-aware, file-based, and real-time continuous availability solution delivers near-zero data loss with guaranteed application and data availability for Windows environments. Using Virtual On-Demand Recovery(TM) technology, an application and its data is available for use within minutes, even seconds. No longer do applications have to wait for hours or days for a complete storage recovery for the applications and users to be productive. With the BCS's continuous and instant availability, Asempra insures the data is there when the application is ready to start.
The data is guaranteed to be completely usable on the first recovery, is never lost, and is always available. With Asempra's BCS, simple point-and-click, global-to-granular recovery provides flexibility that ranges from individual objects, such as a single e-mail or file, all the way to a complete server farm. Asempra dramatically reduces the cost and complexity of continuous availability for applications and data by consolidating the needs of business continuity, disaster recovery, e-discovery, recovery management, compliance and governance into a single solution.
"We are very excited to be recognized by IBM as System Storage Proven," said Mike Morando, vice president of business development for Asempra. "Mutual customers are now assured of compatibility and interoperability between Asempra's industry recognized BCS and IBM's award winning storage products. Leading IBM resellers, such as MSI Systems Integrators, an Asempra strategic channel partner and several time member of the prestigious VAR Business 500, can provide their customers with joint Asempra-IBM solutions that are certified to be compatible for their business critical applications."
"Achieving the IBM System Storage Proven certification is a strong statement to our mutual customers," said Craig Nelson, executive vice president, at MSI Systems Integrators. "The Asempra BCS delivers the strongest continuous availability solution for Windows applications and data in the market today. With our of strong commitment to IBM storage systems and tape solutions, our customers will be able to deploy the BCS and IBM storage products together to keep their Exchange, SQL, and Windows file servers available at all times."
