Graphcom Incorporated, a commercial printer located in Gettysburg, PA, needed more space to accommodate a printing press. Their homemade filing system was wasting valuable floor space and its location was inconvenient for employees. Graphcom first considered renting offsite storage space or expanding their current building, but Datum offered a solution that required neither.

Graphcom now uses Datumâs TrakSliderâ“¢ System with ThinStak® Shelving tiers to house their customer files. This system requires such little storage space that Graphcom was able to free up enough floor space for their new printing department as well as relocate their customer files to their customer service department, streamlining efficiency. Previously, employees had to walk downstairs to shop and then up a ladder to access files. Now, employees have easy access to files stored right by their desks.

âœOriginally, we planned to expand our building or rent offsite space for our new Print-On-Demand department, but the Datum TrakSliderâ“¢ System allowed us to keep everything in house. The savings in rent and construction costs paid for the TrakSliderâ“¢ many times over,â said Greg Allen, CGAE President, Graphcom, Inc.
