The Kitchen Hotline Offers Personalized Coaching on Food, Wine, Entertaining, and Nutrition
ASPEN, Colo., Oct. 26, 2011 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — Do you ever wish that you could have your own personal chef or wine expert? It used to be that this was a luxury available only to a privileged few, but The Kitchen Hotline, a Colorado-based business, brings the expertise of professional chefs and sommeliers to at-home cooks of all levels across the country, helping them to save time and reduce stress.
The Kitchen Hotline offers members a unique opportunity for real-time conversations with professional chefs and sommeliers. Members can talk with the hotline’s expert chefs and sommeliers on the phone or via email to answer any cooking or wine-related questions they might have – whether they’re in the kitchen cooking dinner and trying to figure out a new recipe, at the store searching for the perfect bottle of wine, or planning a dinner party for friends and family. Members can call on the hotline’s experts as many times as needed and there are no time limits for the phone conversations.
Mawa McQueen, president and CEO of The Kitchen Hotline, has a long history of working with five-star restaurants and chefs, and wanted to make professional chefs and sommeliers accessible to a wider audience. “Everyone deserves to have easy access to expert information about wine and cooking, but I couldn’t find a service that offered this. The Kitchen Hotline is the answer by providing one-on-one solutions for each of our members,” she said.
Membership options include access to weekly menus with recipes and shopping lists and a one hour consultation with a nutritionist (additional consultations with nutritionists are available for additional fees).
The Kitchen Hotline’s Healthy Swaps is a popular bi-weekly segment on KWGN’s Daybreak Show (Denver channel 2, The Deuce) where Chef Kelly Yorke creates healthier versions of viewer-favorite foods with a few simple Healthy Swaps. Recipes and videos of current and previous segments are available on The Kitchen Hotline’s website and youtube channel.
This summer The Kitchen Hotline launched two series of in-person events: Wine in Heels and Cooking with Knowledge. These events, which take place in beautiful Aspen, CO, allow participants to get involved with food and wine on a deeper level.
Wine in Heels is a women-only wine tasting series. Each exclusive event consists of 4 different food and wine pairings developed by Advanced and Master Sommeliers partnered with the best chefs in Aspen. Events explore themes such as Wine & Tapas and Wine, Sex & Chocolate.
Cooking with Knowledge is a hands-on cooking class that focuses on preparing foods with locally sourced, fresh, seasonal ingredients. The chef discusses the healthy benefits of using seasonal, healthy ingredients while leading participants through preparing each dish.
