CSA Group expands electromagnetic compatibility testing program and European presence with acquisition of mikes-testingpartners

certification officially announces the acquisition of
mikes-testingpartners gmbh, Germany. mikes-testingpartners gmbh tests
and certifies electric and electronic devices and systems for nearly
all branches of industry with emphasis on electromagnetic compatibility
(EMC), radio parameters, electrical safety, functional safety,
environmental simulations and metrology. mikes-testingpartners gmbh
facilities are specially equipped for the EMC testing of automotive and
a wide range of industrial products with a maximum load of 12 tons.

The test facility located near Munich includes two anechoic chambers
accessible to vehicles, two open area test sites (OATS) up to 30 m test
distance, seven shielded rooms, safety and environmental testing
equipment, a metrology laboratory and a telecommunication laboratory

testing of automotive products – from complete vehicles down to

As well as EMC testing, they also consider the features which are
necessary for an unreserved assessment of conformity. These
considerations can include technical requirements arising from other
directives and guidelines such as risk management in medical and
automation technology or certain reliability investigations for
automobile components.

under the IECEE CB Scheme, and its scope includes EMC, Information
Technology Product Safety and Audio Video Product Safety.  Furthermore
