Sprouts Farmers Market Selects tw telecom to Provide Data Network Services to 103 Stores Across Four States
PHOENIX, Nov. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Sprouts Farmers Market has selected tw telecom (NASDAQ: TWTC), a leading provider of managed services, including Business Ethernet, converged and VPN solutions to enterprises across the U.S. and globally, to help create a seamless, multi-state data network. The new network will connect Sprouts Farmers Market’s existing 60 stores with 43 new stores acquired in its recent merger with Henry’s Farmers Market.
Sprouts Farmers Market is an existing tw telecom customer, and the new agreement expands the services tw telecom provides to the company. Under the terms of the multi-year contract, tw telecom will provide Sprouts Farmers Market with its Converged Services package, which combines voice, secure Internet access and MPLS IP VPN in a single, fully managed solution. Converged Services will give Sprouts Farmers Market a custom network design and allow it to optimize its bandwidth allocation and prioritization based on its unique needs across its more than 100 locations in four states.
“Having already been a tw telecom customer, we knew the reliability and customer service experience tw telecom provides,” said Michael Klingseis, IT Technical Services Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market. “That existing relationship, combined with tw telecom‘s extensive fiber network that reaches all of our 103 locations in Arizona, California, Texas and Colorado, made it an easy decision to expand our relationship with them.”
“Sprouts Farmers Market is an incredible success story and we are pleased to provide a data network that has the ability to grow as rapidly as the company,” said Ron Martin, vice president and general manager for tw telecom in Phoenix. “Our services will increase their network performance and improve their end-user experience with a highly efficient, reliable and cost-effective network from a single-source provider.”
tw telecom connects more commercial buildings to its fiber network than any other competitive communications provider. In fact, it has the third highest market share of retail Ethernet ports in service. With its own metro fiber networks and one of the ten most interconnected IP backbones in the world, tw telecom has the national capability, robust product portfolio and national/local customer care teams to support mission critical enterprise applications and to deliver the industry’s most sought after customer experience.
