The University of Scranton Offers Scholarships to Master of Science in Education Students

November 22, 2011

TAMPA, Fla., Nov. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — The University of Scranton, in partnership with University Alliance, is encouraging educators seeking to excel by earning master’s degrees to apply for the Bisk Foundation Scholarship. First-time students enrolling in either Master of Science in Education program – Curriculum and Instruction, or Educational Administration – should submit an application before the December 1, 2011 scholarship deadline for the Special Spring 2012, Part A session.

Four scholarships will be awarded, each valued at 25% of current tuition, or $339.75 per course. The reduced tuition rate will be honored through graduation as long as the awarded student remains active and in good standing. The current value is $4,077 for the Curriculum and Instruction program, and $4,416.75 for the Educational Administration program.

Both master’s programs empower teachers to move into leadership roles, such as principal or curriculum designer. Learning proven school management techniques and strengthening classroom skills is now easier with The University of Scranton’s online master’s in education programs, and the financial assistance of the Bisk Foundation Scholarship.

“The University of Scranton is proud to partner with Bisk Education in offering the Bisk Foundation Scholarship to our online students,” said W. Jeffrey Welsh, Ph.D., Dean of College of Graduates at The University of Scranton. “We’re excited to help outstanding teaching professionals across the country and around the world discover new opportunities and realize their full potential, fostering their continued success.”
