Altria Group, Inc. (NYSE:MO): Altria Group Inc. said it would lower its full-year earnings expectations after subsidiary Philip Morris USA was ordered to pay 60% of a US$79.5 million award to Oregon. Altria engages in the manufacture and sale of cigarettes, smokeless products, and wine in the United States and internationally. Altria’s third-quarter earnings came in at 56 cents per share — up 3.7% from the prior-year quarter. Revenues were down more than six percent year on year, however, attributable to lower net revenues from cigarettes, partially offset by higher net revenues from smokeless products, cigars, wine and financial services.
