Verizon Packs for Pride Program Supports Children This Holiday Season
DALLAS, Dec. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — This holiday season, Verizon Wireless employees throughout Texas and Northern Louisiana joined forces to give back to the community through the second annual Packs for Pride program. Employees donated new backpacks filled with personal care items to give to domestic violence agencies in Abilene, Amarillo, Austin, Dallas, Harlingen, San Antonio, Shreveport, Temple/Killeen and Waco, giving children helped by these agencies something to call their own to help establish a sense of normalcy in their lives.
