Nation’s Capital Unites to Support Veterans Through Football and Chili
2nd Annual Wild Card Chili Cook-Offi Charity event to support 21st century veterans initiative Warrior Gateway
Washington, DC (PRWEB) January 06, 2012
Chili lovers and football fanatics alike will come together for the 2nd Annual Wild Card Chili Cook-Off Charity event on January 7, 2012 at Union Pub. All proceeds will go to Warrior Gateway, a non-profit supporting military, veterans, and their families.
Led by friends: Toan Do, Andrew Mills, Brian Johnson and Will Cox, the 2nd Annual Wild Card Chili Cook-Off will have even more chili contestants and great drink specials than last year’s successful event. Attendees are encouraged to bring their appetites, camaraderie, and goodwill; knowing that all proceeds will directly benefit our country’s military community and their families.
“We are honored to be the beneficiary of the 2nd Annual Wild Card Chili Cook-Off this Saturday,” said Devin B. Holmes, CEO of Warrior Gateway. “Events such as this are an excellent way to show how the local community can step up, and support military, veterans, and their families.”
The cook off will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm ET at Union Pub. Cover is $10 and all proceeds will go to Warrior Gateway. Please RSVP to the event, along with directions to Union Pub, by visiting the Facebook event at: http://tinyurl.com/7wxm4h6.
