CES Officially Begins Amid Strong Crowds And Roaring Anticipation
The 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show officially kicked off this morning, with anticipation for new geek-chic products livening up everyone's spirits.
This year's event in Las Vegas is being held on 1.851 million net square feet, and according to a press release, it is on track to become the second largest show in history.
Yesterday, we learned that both Samsung and LG want to keep pushing the boundaries on television-technology, most notably with Samsung's addition of the Super OLED.
Microsoft's CEO Steve Ballmer took the stage last night in the first keynote speech for the Las Vegas event. This will be the company's last year at the electronics show, but he certainly did not allow the company to leave on a bang.
Ballmer failed to announce any new products that weren't already known, nor did he give any peek at its new Xbox product being developed.
Despite the buzz-kill by Ballmer, that hasn't stopped the energy felt all around the exhibitors floors today, as technology wizards and admirers both show off and admire what creations are being displayed this year.
CES has officially begun, and expect RedOrbit to bring you all the photos, videos and content your consumer electronics heart desires.
