etouches Announces 2011 Growth & Performance
NORWALK, Conn., Jan. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — etouches (www.etouches.com) is pleased to announce the results of the company’s 2011 performance. The results were confirmed by the etouches’ Board of Directors that includes Geoff Schneider of Cava Capital, Pauline Murphy of Connecticut Innovations, Christa Carone of Xerox and Leon Shapiro. Alan Patricof, managing partner of Greycroft Partners and lead investor in etouches, was also present for the December board meeting in which results were presented.
“etouches had a tremendous 2011,” stated Geoff Schneider, Board Member. “Leonora Valvo did an outstanding job in successfully leading the company through a year of transition that included several product iterations, additions to the management team and a headquarters move. Even with these changes, the company grew well over 50% year-over-year and had a 100% on run rate heading into 2012. The Board is extremely excited about the opportunity to dominate the event planning software market over the next few years. The combination of a premier team, exceptional product and a loyal and excited client base is a great combination for success.”
The etouches Pro product line continued to expand in 2011 with the addition of the eSocial product that aids event planners, organizers and marketers in delivering appointment, hosted buyer and social networking programs within their event. Other highlights of 2011 included 100% growth in the etouches global client base, a 98% client retention rate and the successful launch of the first etouches’ user conference.
“While we have passed many milestones in 2011, what I’m most proud of is the fact that we’ve managed to rapidly grow while maintaining our original value proposition: to deliver innovative event automation software while maintaining our standards of quality,” explained Leonora Valvo, Visionary Founder and Chief Executive Officer of etouches. “Details are everything in events. We reflect this philosophy in the crafting of our software, establishing and maintaining our relationships and in reinforcing our clients’ trust through delivering what we promise.”
As a testament to her leadership, Valvo was presented numerous awards and appointments in 2011. Named to the advisory board of the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute, winner of the 2011 Entrepreneurial Innovation and Leadership Award by the Connecticut Technology Council and recipient of the Gold Connecticut Quality Improvement Award, Ms. Valvo was repeatedly recognized for her breakthrough thinking and business leadership. Prior to etouches, Ms. Valvo was named to Inc. Magazine’s Fastest Growing Services companies through her former company, Global Executive. “My goal is to get back on that list,” explained Valvo, “this time, we will be recognized for our product.”
In addition to the growth in clients and revenue, etouches also grew its global staff to ensure that quality care is maintained. The fourth quarter alone saw the creation of a dozen new jobs with new staff onboarding in both the United States and the United Kingdom. “We see talent recruitment as our biggest challenge in 2012,” stated Leonora Valvo, “we take the same care in selecting staff as we do in selecting our partners and what features to build. We have an incredible team and it’s imperative that each team member reflects our relationship values. While we expect to continue our rapid growth, we will not compromise quality in order to expand. High touch is the essence of etouches and we are working on new ways to build upon this core value in 2012.” A new format for the etouches’ August user conference is just one of the initiatives underway to continue to innovate in client care.
