Burlington, MA (PRWEB) February 06, 2012

expressor software, the leading provider of simplified data integration software, today announced support for the QlikView Business Discovery platform. expressor for QlikView provides a simplified, powerful, and affordable metadata-driven integration platform for QlikView customers. Together with expressor´s native support for Microsoft Excel, business users are now able to better manage their multiple instances of QlikView and other on-premises and cloud data to create a more holistic view of their business data. Organizations need an efficient way to process and load operational data into their decision support systems. By enabling business users to define an end-to-end, metadata-driven integration strategy for their QlikView implementations, expressor for QlikView empowers them to greatly improve their business insights and decision-making.

“expressor is a unique, metadata-driven integration solution that enables organizations to create a holistic and consistent view of their business data. Combined with QlikView´s powerful user-driven analysis capabilities, our joint customers will be empowered with the rapid decision making their businesses require,” said Peter McQuade, vice president of Alliances and Partner Sales at QlikTech.

With expressor for QlikView, customers can leverage expressor´s:

  • Bi-directional Connectivity — offering users the ability to read, write, and integrate their QlikView data files (QVX) with other business systems including Excel.
  • Semantic Framework — enabling users to define a common definition and vocabulary for all of their data stored as business data objects within the expressor Semantic Framework. Users can easily map these business data objects to QlikView data files and other business systems and reuse them across the enterprise.
  • Powerful Data Processing — in conjunction with the Semantic Framework, customers can quickly and efficiently process data from multiple disparate sources for fast QlikView integration without compromising data integrity.

expressor´s new Microsoft Excel connectivity allows users to read and generate Excel files in native XLS and XLSX formats from expressor running on Windows or Linux. The new capability eliminates the need to either access the Excel files through ODBC or converting them into CSV format before being processed.

“Customers are still after a 360 degree view of their data. By helping them centrally manage departmental data sources such as Microsoft Excel and integrate them with QlikView, organizations can get the holistic view of data they require to make better business decisions,” said Bob Potter, Co-founder and CEO of expressor software.

QlikView and Excel support are immediately available as part of expressor 3.5.1 (or higher) Desktop Edition and Standard Edition. Users can download a free 30-day trial at http://go.expressor-software.com/desktop-edition-etl-tool.html.
