Deltak and Benedictine University to Jointly Present on Learning Analytics at EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative Annual Meeting
Presentation to Focus on Tools to Measure Student Learning

How do learning institutions measure success? Rob Schnieders, Chief Learning Officer for Deltak will present alongside Michael L. Carroll, Dean, Moser College of Adult and Professional Studies at Benedictine University, to address this issue with their presentation “Using Learning Analytics (Learning Outcomes Management) to Ensure Success” at the upcoming EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI) Annual Meeting.
Schnieders and Carroll will share the processes, tools and lessons learned during a recent implementation of Learning Outcomes Management in the MBA program at Benedictine University. This specific study was conducted to answer the question of how to authentically measure student performance to ensure programs are driving long-term outcomes. Validating curriculum, measuring student performance and creating systems and processes to utilize the information were defined as the major components of the case study. Both presenters will describe how these components and learning analytics can be used to measure and enhance student learning, how to apply this case study to other institutions, and discuss the various technologies involved.
