The fitness tracking application and website allows users to effortlessly upload and save workout routines and nutritional information, create and map exercise routes, and share that information with friends. The CDPHP InMotion website records workout details, including duration, distance, pace, speed, elevation, calories burned, and route traveled — all on an interactive map.

The CDPHP InMotion application is available for free on the iPhone, Blackberry, and Android. The application uses the built-in GPS of your mobile device to track your fitness activities, and effortlessly uploads the information to your personal profile. CDPHP InMotion is also compatible with other fitness trackers such as the Garmin, Fitbit, or Nike+.

“Studies have shown that keeping a food or workout diary helps people lose more weight. This application allows people the convenience and ease of use to count calories, log workout routines, and track their fitness on an intuitive website or mobile device,” said Demers who noted that one-in-three mobile devices purchased today is a smartphone.

The website and application also have a social media function, which allows users to share information with friends, join groups, and compete with others. The social networking component is not mandatory as users have the option of keeping their information private.
