Automated Security Alert Offers New Product

April 5, 2012

LifeTrac is a Medical Alarm that Acts More Like a Cell Phone

(PRWEB) April 05, 2012

Pittsburgh-based Automated Security Alert has recently expanded its product line to include the LifeTrac, a simple device that is a cross between a push button medical alarm and a cell phone. Most push button medical alarms can only be used within a short distance from the device´s base, but the LifeTrac is a mobile personal emergency response system (mPERS) that allows people the freedom to leave their homes but still have all the advantages that a medical alarm provides. In addition to the functions of a medical alarm, the device can store up to twenty-one pre-programmed phone numbers and allows the choice of monthly minute plans. The simple beauty of the device is that it only has a few buttons and it doesn´t contain all of the features of a cell phone which makes it much easier to use than a cell phone. The LifeTrac can easily be a quick contact link to family members, because in addition to making calls the device can send alerts to loved ones to let them know if the LifeTrac is taken out of its contact area, if the rechargeable battery is running low, and allows the user to send an SOS to contacts. The LifeTrac can also call 911 with the touch of a button. The small size allows users to discretely carry it in their pocket, purse, or in a lanyard around their neck.

Jason Seyler, the company´s Director of Life Safety is enthusiastic about the latest product offering, “With LifeTrac we have full two-way voice capabilities and are able to provide safety and security to people wherever they go. With the more active population this type of device gives everyone peace of mind in the event of an emergency or when help is needed.”
