Anaheim-based Lunarpages is scouting Austin for a new location, and has secured the services of long-time Austinite Robert Foster. Foster, a technology and commercial real estate entrepreneur is using his 35 years of experience and relationships in Austin to complete a market analysis, site selection and the introduction of Lunarpages to potential clients in Central Texas.
“Lunarpages was launched in 1998, and has since established itself as an enterprise-level IT Solutions Company and global web hosting provider,” says Foster. “Johnny Perales and I worked together at pre-IPO Rackspace, and when Johnny approached me to discuss bringing jobs to Austin, I was eager to assist.” Perales is the Company´s Worldwide Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and is currently splitting his time between Los Angeles and Austin/San Antonio.
Perales added, “There are several hosting firms in the Austin area. Lunarpages is differentiating itself by deftly tailoring innovative and accessible web hosting solutions for established industry leaders, small businesses and individuals — at a price that is often 20% to 30% less than our competitors.” Perales went on to say that Lunarpages has 150,000 customers, a client base that includes Toshiba, Motorola, The Smithsonian, leading gaming companies and scores of small and medium businesses. ”Lunarpages has a simple, easy to understand channel program that allows partners to earn commissions for life of their referral at 15%.”
“Lunarpages has Data Centers in California, Nevada and Arizona — and have already begun discussions about Data Center space in Austin,” added Foster. “Part of our plan is to reach out to the Game Developers in Austin, and to start-up companies that might need some front-end help with the monthly costs.” Foster, who was an active Angel Investor during the Tech Boom, remains heavily involved with the technology community via TXEN and a variety of Companies that he helped launch in Austin.
