ELLENSBURG, Wash., June 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Ellensburg Canyon Vista Winery, located 8 miles South of Ellensburg, Washington has now made their own wines available for purchase on their website: www.CoxCanyon.com.

Ellensburg Canyon Vista Winery produces wine made exclusively from grapes produced from their Cox Canyon Vineyards, which has been producing high-quality, award-winning grapes for a number of Washington wineries. About Ellensburg Canyon Vista Winery
Wines from Ellensburg Canyon Vista Winery bear labels dedicated to their winery pup: “Ralf Rae,” a German Spitz Mittel who was orphaned to the streets of Yakima. Rescued by a good friend who could not keep a dog, Ralf Rae became the vineyard dog who now loves wine grapes, romps through the vineyards, and keeps the varmints at bay.

Ralf Rae White, Red, Rose and Riesling table wines are all excellent examples of making fine wine from their unique Terroir at an affordable price point.

The tasting room is located on the Cox Canyon Vineyard property 8 miles South of Ellensburg, Washington; just off of Canyon Road (SR #821) at the mouth of the Yakima River Canyon. The Ellensburg Canyon Vista Winery Tasting Room is open by appointment. Call 509-933-3523 or e-mail: Info@CoxCanyon.com to set up a date/time for a custom wine tasting.

About Cox Canyon Vineyards
The 17-acre Cox Canyon Vineyard is the first vineyard from the west as you enter into Washington’s Wine Country from the Seattle area. This is a beautiful West-sloping site near the entrance to the wild & scenic Yakima River Canyon. This Terroir ripens late, producing low yields with small berry size, deep color and great concentration of fruit flavors. Current varietals planted at Cox Canyon Vineyards include: Cabernet Franc-Clone 13, Malbec-Clone 4 and 6, Petite Verdot, Syrah, and Chardonnay-Clone 5. A new planting of Riesling-Clone 9 and 12 occurred in Spring of 2011.
