Digital Solutions for Personalizing Learning Take Center Stage at ISTE 2012
Pearson´s Innovative Technologies Span Curriculum, Devices, Platforms; Support Schools´ Move to Common Core State Standards

Programs and services showcased at ISTE 2012 include:
–Mobile Apps and Learning Platforms: Pearson´s mobile learning solutions span the curriculum and variety of device platforms in today´s classrooms. Now available for Android as well as Apple devices, Pearson´s eTexts are the foundation of its digital courses and mobile curriculum offerings, with more than 20 programs in this interactive format. Launched in January, Pearson´s iBook textbooks feature interactive student versions of five of the company´s bestselling middle and high school math and science books delivered directly to iPad. The two newest iBooks, debuting at ISTE 2012, are Prentice Hall Algebra 2 Common Core and Pearson Chemistry. Pearson also offers more than 40 free or inexpensive student learning apps available in the iTunes store. These engaging and fun apps provide students with preparation and practice tools, including videos, assessments and interactive learning games.
–Dash Class: Pearson´s new classroom management app for teachers will be unveiled at ISTE 2012. With Dash Class, teachers can create classes and records for students, take observational notes as they move about the classroom and load a clipboard with the notes they use most often. Dash Class is available for iPad at $3.99 on the App Store. To mark the launch of Dash Class at ISTE, the app will be free through June 27.
–GradPoint: GradPoint is a rigorous, standards-based curriculum, delivered on an award-winning, intuitive online learning platform that allows teachers to personalize learning for students in grades 6-12. GradPoint supports virtual and blended learning, credit recovery, dropout prevention, alternative education, English language learning, summer school and more, all on one platform with engaging curriculum developed by industry leaders.
–Zeos: Zeos is an online standards mastery program that utilizes “gamification,” or the application of elements of game-based learning design, to engage students in grades 3-10 in assessment practice in reading/language arts and mathematics to prepare them for high-stakes state and Common Core tests.
–Principal Compass: Developed in collaboration with ASCD, Principal Compass is the only cloud-based comprehensive program for principal leadership development, reflecting the principles of Dr. Robert Marzano´s extensive studies establishing an evidence-based framework for principal growth and development. The digital professional development program includes numerous self-paced online modules correlated to Dr. Marzano´s research; onsite coaching and team professional development; access to more than 3,000 classroom and practitioner videos; benchmarking of principals and their teams´ self-assessment data against competencies for effective school leadership, identified from studies of more than 300 high-performing principals; and progress monitoring.
–WriteToLearn 8.0: Pearson´s award-winning online literacy tool is now fully optimized for iPad and features new adaptive support for vocabulary development, as well as additional tools for helping English Language Learners (ELL) and struggling learners build literacy skills aligning with the types of academic literacy skills set forth in the Common Core State Standards.
