Jaguar Cars, Available at Prestige Jaguar Land Rover, Make Largest Leap in J.D. Power and Associates Initial Quality Study

In the recently released J.D. Power and Associates 2012 U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS), Jaguar placed second among 34 brands sold in the U.S. Jaguar improved more over its 2011 performance than any other brand in the annual rankings, which measure the number of consumer-reported problems with new vehicles after 90 days of ownership.
This news came as no surprise to Prestige Jaguar Land Rover General Sales Manager Greg Fioretti, who experiences the quality of the Jaguar brand daily. “These rankings are definitely encouraging, but to me it just reinforces what I already know,” Fioretti said. “Jaguars are beautiful to look at, but they’re also incredibly well made, and getting better all the time. Overall, our customers have been exceptionally happy with their 2012 Jaguar cars.”
The IQS, now in its 26th year, is used by manufacturers around the world to help them design better models, and by consumers to aid in purchasing decisions. “Initial quality has been shown throughout the years to be an excellent initial indicator of long-term durability, which directly impacts consumer purchase decisions,” J.D. “Jaguar posts the largest improvement in the study–reducing problems by 39 PP100 (problems per 100 vehicles) and vaulting from the 20th rank position in 2011,” J.D. Power & Associates reported. Jaguar finished just behind Lexus, in a second-place tie with Porsche among 34 major automotive brands sold and reviewed in the U.S. This year’s IQS analyzed responses from 74,000 consumers regarding 2012 model year vehicles.
