Fiat Introduces Espresso Machine With New Car

There's nothing quite like the morning smell of coffee. So what better way is there to steer clear of the Starbucks drive-thru lines than to have your own espresso machine right inside your car?

Fiat must really understand its consumer, because the company has included a coffee-maker next to the gear-stick in its upcoming Fiat 500L.

While some car companies just try and keep up with the Joneses by adding GPS and really cool lighting, Fiat set a new standard for making a driver more efficient by combining a couple of tasks into a single morning routine.

The Fiat 500L comes equipped with a Lavazza-branded coffee maker kit that includes a sugar container, "pod dispenser," and a spoon.

Fiat says it is the first production car in the world available with a fully integrated espresso coffee machine as an accessory.

The Fiat 500L comes at a price point of about $24,000, and features either a three or five-door option with a 1.6lt, 16 valve engine.

The new espresso machine, which fits in the space between the front passengers, is poised to be an option only available for European customers currently.

The option will also only be available in three of the four versions of the Fiat 500L trim levels, which include Pop, Pop Star, Easy and Lounge.

Other luxury technologies the new car will offer include a five-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth and Navigation, and baby surveillance monitor.

The car will be going on sale in Ireland at the end of the year, and was officially launched last week in Turin, Italy.
