GBS Growth Partners, one of the leading advisory groups for food and beverage brands in the US, has formed a new business unit to help brands dramatically improve their market penetration and business performance. Smash! Brands will provide total commercialization services for companies including building distribution and retail availability and handling local market activation responsibilities.
The first two markets under Smash! Brands are Texas and Southern California, two large markets pivotal for long term brand success. The intent of Smash! Brands will be to eventually cover the entire US and additional markets are planned for expansion in 2012 and 2013, including New York, Florida, Northern California, New England and Chicago.
Two industry veterans have joined the Smash! Brands team — Dan Wilder as General Manager of Texas, and Randy Smith as General Manager of Southern California. Dan has over 25 years of sales, marketing and operational success in the beverage industry. He has worked with both globally recognized brands (Coca-Cola, Pepsi-Cola, Dasani Water, and ROCKSTAR Energy) as well as with start-up brands. He has extensive experience in getting brands into consumer hands and building brand loyalty. Randy has over 15 years of sales, marketing and management success in the beverage industry. He has worked for Pepsi-Cola as well as for Solvi Brands LLC, owners of Crunk Energy. He has a proven track record designing and implementing successful sales and marketing strategies. Both Dan and Randy have extensive experience helping brands gain distribution, in-store execution and sales traction.
Smash! Brands is designed to help brands gain deep market penetration in channels that will them to connect with ℠early adopters´ critical to every brand´s success. Along with traditional channels like supermarkets and convenience stores, Smash!
