BuildZoom Announces Launch of Newly Redesigned Metro Area Home Pages
Design revision based on data that demonstrates a correlation between visual imagery and increased time-on-site
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) July 24, 2012
Today, BuildZoom announced the launch of their newly redesigned metro area home pages, which serve as the starting point for consumers searching for home improvement contractors on BuildZoom.com.
According to BuildZoom Co-Founder Jiyan Naghshineh Wei, “Consumer behavior is driven by both emotional and rational analysis. Some consumers know exactly what they are looking for and simply want the data. We´ve retained the elements of the interface that serve users.” He adds, “A separate segment of users are looking for a more emotional experience prior to beginning the consumer process and it is this segment that we are targeting with this release.”
The new metro area home page provides users with a more visual experience that allows them to browse rated images from contractors in their area. According to Wei, BuildZoom´s community of over 20,000 licensed contractors has contributed nearly 40,000 project photos to-date: “As our community continues to grow, we´ll continue to iterate the platform to ensure that their content is placed front-and-center.”
BuildZoom´s design update builds upon recent enhancement to their business profile pages. Their research into enhancing the user experience on consumer-oriented platforms has been published on leading sites like SEOmoz and their own blog.
BuildZoom empowers homeowners to make better hiring decisions by providing them with a simple and effective way to find the best service provider for their next job. BuildZoom uses a Big Data approach that analyzes over 1.8 million remodeling contractors in the US against a broad set of quality indicators such as their license status, consumer feedback and more. Each contractor is given an independent rating that determines their placement on BuildZoom.com, where consumers can freely browse and search to find the right service provider for their next job.
