The company last year warned that it would post losses in 2012 as it expanded into Britain and Ireland. However, for the latest quarter, Netflix showed a profit of US$6.16 million, or US$0.11 a share, compared with year-ago profit of US$68.21 million or US$1.26 a share. Revenue for the period was approximately US$889.2 million, an increase of 13% from the same quarter of 2011. Moreover, Kelly Bennett, a nine-year veteran of Warner Bros, has been appointed as Chief Marketing Officer.
