Magellan Switch Up GPS Watch Added At Heart Rate Watch Company

August 3, 2012

The new Magellan Switch Up and Switch Series GPS watches are now available at the Heart Rate Watch Company. These multi-sport GPS watches offer full functionality and fast transitions for multi-sport athletes.

Bozeman, MT (PRWEB) August 03, 2012

The Heart Rate Watch Company is pleased to announce its affiliation as a dealer with the new Magellan Switch and Magellan Switch Up GPS watches.

“Magellan has long been one of the most respected pioneers of GPS technology and it is the first new GPS watch brand we have added to our website in 2 years because we are very picky about the brands we sell”, says Rusty Squire, President of the Heart Rate Watch Company. He adds, “We pride ourselves in only carrying products that we will test and use ourselves and if chief tester John Yarington doesn’t like it then chances are we won’t carry it, it has to pass the DNA man test”.

Magellan offers two new GPS watches in its line up: 1.) the Magellan Switch and 2.) the Magellan Switch Up. Both watches offer high sensitivity GPS speed and distance, as well as heart rate if the strap unit is acquired.

The difference between the two models is that the Switch Up offers a barometric altimeter for accurate on board altitudes, comes with a multi-sport mounting kit so the Switch Up can be moved straight into a bike mount. The Switch Up also has vibrating alerts and temperature that are not included in the regular Switch.

“This is pretty exciting because these Magellan Switch units offer good competition for Garmin’s running and triathlon watches at a price point about $100 lower”, says Squire. He adds, “Several of the Magellan guys actually worked at Garmin previously and have a good background in fitness GPS which gave us the confidence to carry the product, plus Magellan was a pioneer of GPS technology back in the 1980′s”.

The new Magellan watches are now on sale at the Heart Rate Watch Company during August 2012.
