Houston, Texas, in particular, has an especially high burglary rate in comparison with the rest of the country. Overall, most burglars also target single-family homes over businesses and a home without an alarm system is three times more likely to be broken into than a home with a monitored security system, according to the infographic.
Blanco says Home Security Store created this infographic series to empower the general public with crucial burglary statistics.
