Cymphonix Releases Infographic Regarding Millennials in the Workplace and the Effect They Will Have on Technology Departments

August 9, 2012

The face of the workplace is changing and reshaping corporate culture in the process.

Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) August 09, 2012

With more than 80 million millennials in the United States already in the workplace or poised to join the corporate ranks over the next eight years, a shift in corporate culture is abound. Recent statistics suggest that by 2014, 36% of the U.S. workforce will consist of young adults born between the late 1970´s or early 1980´s and 2000. By 2020, that percentage is expected to jump to 46%.

Today, Cymphonix released an infographic outlining the effect this next wave of new hires will have on technology decisions and corporate culture.

“This next generation of employees have grown up with technology and subsequently, have very different attitudes towards technology and accessibility than generations of the past,” said Brent Verhaaren, Marketing Director for Cymphonix. “Having unrestricted access to social media sites, a choice when it comes to what devices they use for work purposes, and the ability to work remotely when they please are critical to this group´s overall job satisfaction. Ultimately these demands will begin to reshape corporate culture across the United States, if they haven´t done so already, making an IT manager´s role in the successful recruitment and retention of talented millennials that much more crucial.”

Organizations looking to implement a bring-your-own-device (BYOD) policy, reevaluate Internet use rules, or mobilize employees are encouraged to learn more about Cymphonix and its ability to keep existing Internet connections in tune and running at peak performance as these changes are implemented.
