Mitchell Vazquez supports the inner-city education philanthropy that provides aid to those children with great promises but limited means. This fundraiser helps remove the fundamental challenge of getting a good education in a safe, secure environment in New York City.

Mitch Vazquez is a committed believer of access to education for youth and demonstrated his support for the Inner City Scholarship Fund. He is a product of the public school system in the Seattle suburb of Mercer Island, WA and this experience combined with his efforts and abilities earned him a full scholarship to Stanford University. He financed his education himself through scholarship, student loans, and part time work.

Most of students enrolled in elementary schools in Manhattan come from homes living at or below the federal poverty line. Mitch Vazquez fully understands and supports this fund to enable the students and their families to overcome enormous odds and break the cycle of poverty through education. During the Friends Gala of ICSF he sat with Timothy J. McNiff, the Superintendent of Schools for the Catholic Archdiocese of New York. The two discussed the challenges of running the Catholic Archdiocese school system and both were warmly recognized by His Eminence for their contributions to the ICSF.
