Singapore (PRWEB) September 11, 2012

The National Research Foundation (NRF) Singapore has recently announced that approximately S$4 billion worth of funding will be offered to local and foreign companies over the next few years. In addition, the city state will host two startup events – Techventure 2012 and FailCon Singapore.

Asiabiz Services, a Singapore company setup consultancy, welcomes the move and anticipates that it will ignite interest among Singaporeans to become budding entrepreneurs and in turn, opt for Singapore company formation.

Techventure 2012, which enters its 16th year, is Asia´s summit event for the world´s most influential investors and iconic innovators. It will be held next month, from 16 to 18 October, at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Center and will feature 700 local and overseas entrepreneurs, chief executives, founders, and HNWIs from the technology, venture capital and private equity community. This year´s theme, the event aims to showcase new technologies in info-communications, electronics, materials, manufacturing, healthcare, energy and environment.

FailCon, an established Silicon Valley event for technology entrepreneurs, on the other hand, will make its debut in Asia via Singapore. The well-known conference is created for technology entrepreneurs, investors, developers and designers to come together, study their own failures and pivot for success.

“These events underscore the importance of entrepreneurship in the future of a country as open and robust as Singapore. It is one thing to say here´s some money, now open a company. It´s another to go into the psyche and understand why people are still afraid to, in spite of abundant funding. These events bridge those gaps and the funding is the icing on the cake. Hence, we expect Singapore´s entrepreneurial ecosystem to become more colorful and dynamic as more serial entrepreneurs opt for the EntrePass,” said Mr. James Nuben, Head of Taxation at Asiabiz Services.
