September 16, 2012

Memory Animals-Spanish, an educational app from learning gems, provides a twist on a classic game that is fun for adults and children alike.

Portage, MI (PRWEB) September 16, 2012

Memory Animals from Learning Gems has a Spanish version that not only teaches basic vocabulary in the foreign language, but also exercises cognitive skills. The app is available on tablets and can be downloaded from the iTunes, Amazon and Barnes & Noble App Stores as well as on Google Play.

Memory Animals-Spanish offers three different modes of gameplay at three varying degrees of difficulty. In addition to exercising visual processing and memory skills, this version teaches animals in the Spanish language. To do so, during gameplay, as each card is selected, the name of the animal is displayed at the bottom of the screen in Spanish. The text is then paired with a Spanish pronunciation. As with Memory Animals, if audio is not desired, it can be turned off via the home screen.

This app can be played in three different modes. The first version, classic mode, mirrors the original version of memory. The player must match pairs of cards from the rows and columns dealt on the screen. Anti-gravity is the second option for gameplay. In this mode, the rows and columns shift throughout the screen in an unconventional manner. The final version of gameplay is shuffle mode. In this mode, after each attempt at making a match is completed, the cards shuffle around the screen. These diverse modes challenge your cognitive skills in different ways.

To enhance the challenge, varying levels of difficulty can be selected. The three modes of Memory Animals-Spanish can be played at the easy, medium or difficult level. The game can also be played in multi-player mode, which allows up to four players.

Memory Animals-Spanish is not only from children, but adults too. The app teaches cognitive skills and the Spanish language to children and enhances these skills in adults. It is a great app for the entire family to play.
