Intrepid Learning announces the release of version 2.0 of the Intrepid AgileTM platform, building on Intrepid Learning’s strong informal and mobile learning capabilities to offer support for delivering the highest-quality social and structured learning experiences for a global audience. The product debuts today at the Dreamforce Global Gathering 2012 User and Developer Conference in San Francisco, sponsored by Salesforce.com.

The updated platform seamlessly incorporates a host of high impact informal learning features designed to enable a powerful learning experience for self-directed learners:

  •     Social learning features include ratings, comments, blogs, discussions, and link sharing.
  •     Advanced assessment tools to assist companies in awarding certifications and continuing education credits with features including multiple sections, question pools and additional question types.
  •     Learning paths to allow a series of content to be sequenced into a structured learning experience for a targeted audience.

These attributes have been fully integrated into the Salesforce.com interface — a highlight for Dreamforce attendees who will be among the first to experience these new innovations.

According to Sam Herring, CEO of Intrepid Learning, “Business leaders are frustrated with the technology solutions available to help their people learn, collaborate and share–and ultimately improve performance. Legacy products make it too difficult for the learner to find relevant learning content and experiences in the context of their work. The original Intrepid AgileTM platform focused on informal and mobile learning was our response to our clients´ common struggle with traditional LMS platforms. With the addition of social and structured learning functionality, we now have a comprehensive offering that serves the needs of clients seeking to empower self-directed learners. With our strong learning services background, we are uniquely positioned to provide not just technology, but a complete solution to solve our clients´ business problems.”

“Our 2.0 release represents a major step forward,” says Justin Garrett, Vice President of Technology at Intrepid Learning. “Beyond just offering new functionality, we have made significant architectural enhancements for increased flexibility, scalability, and stability.”

The flexible security framework included in Intrepid AgileTM 2.0 makes it easy to segment content across geographies or functions within your company, differentiate between content for internal, partner, or customer audiences, and to set up multiple portals to address the distinct needs of different audiences. Multi-language capabilities allow all elements to be localized to meet the needs of a global audience.

“Intrepid AgileTM 2.0 lets us blend informal, social, and structured learning functionality to create innovative learning experiences that truly meet our customers´ unique needs,” says John Hathaway, Intrepid Learning’s Director of Product Management. “We have some of the best learning consultants in the industry, and I´m excited to be able to put a tool like this in their hands to see what the innovative solutions we can deliver in partnership with our clients.”
