CombineNet Provides Advanced Supplier Negotiation and Analysis Capabilities with Enhancements to its ASAP® E-Sourcing Product
PITTSBURGH, Oct. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — CombineNet, Inc. today announced the availability of new features in its best-in-class e-sourcing product CombineNet ASAP®, improving the bid analysis and supplier negotiation capabilities of its advanced sourcing technology. Additional capabilities were introduced to improve the supplier user experience during online RFP and Reverse Auction sourcing events.
“This release continues our investment in best-of-breed technologies that provide sourcing teams with the tools they need to execute a broader range of sourcing strategies,” said Alan Himler, vice president of product management at CombineNet. “These new features enable more strategic and advanced bid analysis and supplier negotiations directly within our e-sourcing technology, extending the sourcing team’s ability to manage a greater portion of their activities in an easy-to-use, best in class solution.”
The latest e-sourcing enhancements to the SaaS-based CombineNet ASAP sourcing solution are now immediately available to all users:
- Assigned Awards – CombineNet ASAP delivers the ability to “Assign Awards” that capture the results of negotiations with suppliers and internal stakeholders on specific items, by ‘locking in’ select supplier awards on individual items, and then continue the bid analysis and optimization process for remaining items. This new feature significantly streamlines the final steps of an e-sourcing event as buyers identify final award strategies and conduct negotiations with suppliers.
- Supplier-Incumbency Scenario Rules – CombineNet ASAP now provides an additional level of precision when evaluating the business to be awarded to incumbent suppliers when building “What if?” scenarios for bid analysis and optimization. These new rules enhance the existing ability within CombineNet ASAP to review award strategies for incumbent suppliers with very precise item-supplier-award combinations and based on an incumbent’s historical volume.
