I found free e cig trial kits, so I jumped on it. After the first month I started noticing changes in my breathing. I also started feeling better. So I did lots more research and I can say electronic cigarettes have literally saved my life, or at least lengthened it. I have not smoked tobacco cigarettes for more than 10 months now.”

But the truth is that e cigarettes deserve more of a positive light than negative. There are some data out there that clearly suggest that electric cigarettes are more good than harm.
In the study headed by Ricardo Polosa, from the Center of Smoking Prevention and Cure, participants were given smokeless cigarettes to measure the ill effects of smoking electric cigarettes. After the test, the conclusion became clear.
The most frequently reported adverse effects of using electronic cigarettes were mouth irritation (20.6%), throat irritation (32.4%), and dry cough (32,4%). These were all commonly reported at the start of the study and seemed to disappear by week 24. On the brighter side, it was found that there was more than 80% reduction in cigarettes consumption in smokers.
There were also 9 quitters, 6 of which were still using the e-cigarette at the end of week 24. These findings are even more impressive when you consider none of the participants was willing to quit cigarettes when the test began.
Andy from Atlanta, a smoker for 20 years giving her reactions towards the new ban law on banning smoking in public parks says, “There will probably be fewer areas exactly where folks can smoke freely later at property, my wife and son suffer from the danger of second-hand smoke; while outside, smoking bans to restrict me. Possibly, I can only smoke inside a toilet. Otherwise, I have to quit smoking or face the penalty. I have heard that electronic cigarettes are valuable to quit smoking, and some old buddies of mine have succeeded by employing them. I am organizing to get one electronic cigarette starter kit for a try.”
