The third quarter non-GAAP net income attributable to EMC was US$881 million, an increase of 7% year-over-year. Non-GAAP earnings per weighted average diluted share were US$0.40 for the quarter, up 8% from the year-ago quarter record. By the end of Wednesday’s trading, EMC shares dipped as much as US$0.22 (-0.89%) to US$24.46 on hefty volume of 75.60 million shares, which was 4.4 times more than average volume.
