Manhattan Software Wins Two Awards from the International Facility Management Association

November 7, 2012

MARLBOROUGH, Mass., Nov. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Manhattan Software, the world leader in real estate and facility management software, announced today that it was presented with two awards by the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) at the 2012 IFMA’s World Workplace Conference & Expo last week in San Antonio, Texas. Over 3,000 of IFMA’s 22,000+ members from 47 countries attended last week’s conference, which included 60 educational sessions and 270+ exhibiting vendors, including Manhattan Software.

In IFMA’s Awards of Excellence 2012 program, Nancy Johnson Sanquist, Manhattan Vice President and IFMA Fellow, received the Distinguished Author Award for a Book, along with Diane Coles Levine, Director of Workplace Solutions, SCAN Health Plan, for the editing and writing of the 2011 IFMA Foundation publication, Work on the Move: Driving Strategy and Change in Workplaces. As Franklin Becker, a professor in the College of Human Ecology at Cornell University, wrote in his Prologue to the book, “Using international case studies and their own considerable experience working in the FM field, editors Diane Coles Levine and Nancy Johnson Sanquist, along with the authors (22) from around the globe, do a terrific job of chronicling the evolution of the FM field, the forces that are shaping it today and the ways in which facility managers can play a leadership role in the continued development of FM as a form of business strategy.” This award was presented to them by IFMA for their outstanding contributions to the FM Profession and the development of IFMA.

The second IFMA award presented to Manhattan Software was the first time advertisers were chosen for the FMJ Awards. Manhattan was chosen for the excellence in design and messaging of the company’s advertising in the March/April issue of IFMA’s FMJ magazine. Nancy Johnson Sanquist, who leads communications for Manhattan Software, accepted the award on behalf of the company.

“Manhattan Software has been a Corporate Sustaining Member with IFMA for many years and encourages the efforts by Nancy and others at Manhattan Software in supporting this amazing organization,” said Craig Gillespie, CEO, Manhattan Software Americas. “Since Manhattan has clients all over the world, the phenomenal outreach and growth of IFMA under the direction of Tony Keane and his staff is fully supported by our company wherever we have customers using our leading facility management and real estate software. We are proud to have won these awards at IFMA’s World Workplace where we also had a very successful Expo event at the conference. We cannot wait until next year’s event in Philadelphia!”
